Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please HELP my wife won't stop cooking! I bought the Starfrit Electric Pressure Cooker so that my wife and I could reduce the amount of time it took to cook our meals and because I wanted to show my wife how safe Pressure cookers have become. My wife had a bad experience with pressure cookers exploding when she was a child! My wife still steps back when releasing the pressure manually. Ever since she has found all the additional feature like saute and all the preset cooking functions along with the large size of the pot, she finds it necessary to try different recipes every day. I would like to sum it up by saying Thanks for making my dishwashing and clean up a whole lot easier!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great appliance I both it last month while waiting for Instant Pot ultra, I still believe StarFrit was the best, I has the most preprogrammed functions. It safe and not hot when cooking like Instant pot Ultra. I think I will return my Instant pot ultra which was $265. There are some missing functions on Starfrit like manual or customizable temperature button, delayed time and slow cooker. Apart from that the rest is ok and it cookes way better than Instant pot ultra.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job amazingly well! I bought this with my mom on sale at Canadian Tire. We had a non-electric pressure cooker in the past that broke so we were on the hunt for a new one for a while. With this pressure cooker, the troubles we experienced before all were solved with the press of a button! We steamed fish and the result was so deliciously soft! My mom said she’s going to make chilli more often now which of course I’m excited about. It’s extremely good quality and cooking has become so easy! If you’re on the market for a new pressure cooker, look no further as this is the one for you!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very convenient. I bought the starfrit electric pressure cooker about 3 weeks ago. We like the cooker very much, but it is extremely difficult to find recipes. If you are new to pressure cooker you need recipes. For this reason I would recommend the Insta Pot...unless starfrit comes out with a recipe book. They have a few recipes on their web site, but that is all we have found.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Function wise ok I was happy with the product untill it just started to show error right after the manufacturer warranty expired. Function wise it was good but it would be good if they would have more warranty on their items. I had problems with baking and making yogurt in it. Meat stews and rice pilaf , soups turned great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is not a fast way to do your cooking. I bought this two weeks ago and I have used it 4 times. The chicken and pork dishes were very tender. My problem is too much steam comes out all around the rim and when opening, I found all the liquid had boiled away even though I filled it to the 1/5 level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Cooker I have been using a electric pressure for 10 years, have had a couple different models, this one is by far the best i have used. Only one thing missing, i cannot do preservatives in this one, but well worth the money.

Many recipes I find online for pressure cookers talk about high is low settings but this has only presets. What do I select if a recipe calls for high?

Asked by: Michelletag
Good day, All 60kPa preprogrammed keys are high pressure. Use the function that has the time that is the closest to your food to cook and add minutes if needed. For example, the CHICKEN or BEEF STEW function can be easily adapted to time required for a high pressure recipe. Have a great Day!

How do I manually set cooking time on the Starfrit electric pressure cooker?

Asked by: Pippi4
Good day, MINUTES: This function is programmed to be used for all cooking functions except yogurt. Once a desired cooking function is selected, light indicator will blink 5 times indicating that the appliance is on standby mode. Use the ‘’minutes’’ function during the standby mode to adjust pressure cooking time. Each press will increase the cooking time timer by increment of 1 minute for up to 60 minutes. Holding down on the button will increase the timer faster. After 60 minutes, timer will start over. For more details, please refer to page 11 of your User Guide that you can also find here Thank you
