Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great appliance I both it last month while waiting for Instant Pot ultra, I still believe StarFrit was the best, I has the most preprogrammed functions. It safe and not hot when cooking like Instant pot Ultra. I think I will return my Instant pot ultra which was $265. There are some missing functions on Starfrit like manual or customizable temperature button, delayed time and slow cooker. Apart from that the rest is ok and it cookes way better than Instant pot ultra.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very convenient. I bought the starfrit electric pressure cooker about 3 weeks ago. We like the cooker very much, but it is extremely difficult to find recipes. If you are new to pressure cooker you need recipes. For this reason I would recommend the Insta Pot...unless starfrit comes out with a recipe book. They have a few recipes on their web site, but that is all we have found.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I just bought this pressure cooker and made chili. Awesome! It tasted like it was made in a slow cooker for a fraction of the time. I recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Got it! Got it on sale at Canadian tire for 99.99 bucks. Should have better if there were delay timer, slow kooking and adjustable pressure functions.

The pressure cooker doesn't have the option for manual settings like temperature (low/med/high) and cooking time over 60min. My bone marrow soup recipe calls for high temp for 2hrs. Please advise how I can achieve similar result. Thx.

Asked by: WLKK
Hello, Please refer to the user manual on page 9 ( You can choose the button that has the closest time / pressure to what you are cooking. There is a max time of 60 minutes, but once done, before it depressurizes, set it again to another 60 minutes. Thank you!

How to cook a roast beef in my Starfrit

Asked by: Deer
Hello, You can sear the meat with the SAUTE function then cook with the "BEEF STEW" function and add minutes to the preset 25 min cooking time if your roast is large. Try it and if you need more cooking time, put it back in :) You can see all preset times in the user manual available on the product page of our web site. Have a nice day!

I want to cook a ham in the 8 qt electric pressure cooker. Do I have to use pressure or can I put it on bake? How much liquid do I have to use?

Asked by: Delaine
Hello, The beauty of a pressure cooker is to use pressure to cook items more quickly (than on "bake"). The baking function imitates what you would do if put in the oven. For ham, use the "poultry" setting and add minutes depending on the weight of your piece of meat. For a large ham (6-9 lbs) use POULTRY and add 15 minutes (in total 30 minutes pressure cooking). It should be enough and you ham will be tender. You can see all cooking times (preset) in the user manual on page 9 - it can be downloaded from the product page. Have a nice day!
