Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great appliance I both it last month while waiting for Instant Pot ultra, I still believe StarFrit was the best, I has the most preprogrammed functions. It safe and not hot when cooking like Instant pot Ultra. I think I will return my Instant pot ultra which was $265. There are some missing functions on Starfrit like manual or customizable temperature button, delayed time and slow cooker. Apart from that the rest is ok and it cookes way better than Instant pot ultra.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very convenient. I bought the starfrit electric pressure cooker about 3 weeks ago. We like the cooker very much, but it is extremely difficult to find recipes. If you are new to pressure cooker you need recipes. For this reason I would recommend the Insta Pot...unless starfrit comes out with a recipe book. They have a few recipes on their web site, but that is all we have found.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It is not a fast way to do your cooking. I bought this two weeks ago and I have used it 4 times. The chicken and pork dishes were very tender. My problem is too much steam comes out all around the rim and when opening, I found all the liquid had boiled away even though I filled it to the 1/5 level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! I just bought this pressure cooker and made chili. Awesome! It tasted like it was made in a slow cooker for a fraction of the time. I recommend this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Got it! Got it on sale at Canadian tire for 99.99 bucks. Should have better if there were delay timer, slow kooking and adjustable pressure functions.

I used mine for the first time today to cook rice. Towards the end instead of releasing steam from only the top, it started releasing steam from the sides and front as well. Is this normal? And safe? My mom panicked and unplugged it.

Asked by: Coco22
Hello, Please check if the silicone ring is well inserted into the lid and try again. It's normal to see a bit of steam when the pressure builds up, there are several safety mechanisms, no worries using this product. Have a nice day!

Set valve, veggies, meat, water, beef stew setting. Light came on. Checked, no lights. Restarted nothing. Outlet, fine. Plugged into other outlet no light. Just stopped working. Cleaned valve, not getting any power. How to fix this?

Asked by: 1sweetpea
Hello, please reach out to our customer service to discuss this issue. Typically, when it does not start, either the seal is not placed properly inside the lid or the pressure valve is not placed adequately (in the center). If something is not placed right, the unit will not build pressure. To contact our customer service agents: Have a nice day!

Are there more recipes for my Starfrit pressure cooker or should I use recipes for Instant Pot? Instant Pot has 12 & 15 psi recipes. How do I transpose for Starfrit since it is only 60 kpa or around 8.7 psi. Do I just cook longer at 60 kpa?

Asked by: Brianed
Hello, Recipes can be found here: You can adapt all recipes found on the internet or in other books easily, refer to page 9 of the manual for cooking times for each button. Have a nice day!

1) Is the maximum pressure attained for cooking 60 kpa?  2) Is there a recommended recipe book or website for my Starfrit pressure cooker? 3] Will Starfrit offer more pressure cook recipes than the ones that they have in the manual and on their website?

Asked by: Brianed
Hello, The pressures associated with each button is explained on page 9 of the user manual. There is no recipe book as all recipes found on the internet can be adapted to the Starfrit pressure cooker. It's a matter of trial and error - and error simply means you cook longer and do not lose your food. Starfrit has some recipes on the web for the pressure cooker meant as a sampling of what can be done with it. Again, all recipes can be adapted. Have a nice day!

why are your questions in french? how about english?

Asked by: Brianed
I would think that if a French speaking person were having an issue, the issue may be relevant to an English speaking person as well. Additionally, I have chosen the English speaking tab at the top. Transposing would be a thought,  in both languages.
