The Starfrit pressure cooker is designed with built-in safety mechanisms and a unique cooking progress tracker to monitor and display each cooking stage.   • Store the product in a cool, dry place.
  • Never cut anything in the cookware or use utensils with sharp edges as to avoid piercing the non-stick surface.
  • Never put cold water into a hot cooking pot. Sudden changes of temperature may cause metal to warp, resulting
in an uneven bottom. Let cookware cool down on its own or place in lukewarm soapy water.
  • Always use trivets or oven mitts when handling the pot.
  • DO NOT place the hot pot on counter top, as it will stain or burn the countertop. Use a protective trivet.
  • DO NOT place the pot on any range top burner, under a broiler, microwave browning element, or in a heated oven.
  • DO NOT strike utensils against rim of pot to dislodge food, as it will scratch it.
  • DO NOT use metal utensils with this appliance. Use the provided rice measure (or recommended utensil) to prevent
chipping of the cooking pot.
  • DO NOT use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or any object that will scratch the cookware or accessories.

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY This warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of the original purchase. Please retain your original receipt as a proof of the purchase date. Any complaints must be registered within the warranty period. Hi, How come nothing mentioned about the error codes in the user manuals (it is about the pressure cooker). I've got E2.

What is the high setting on my starfrit

Good day, All the preprogrammed functions that are at 60kPA are ''high'' pressure. Use the button that has the time preprogrammed that is the closest to what you need to cook then add minutes if needed. For exemple, the function ''Poultry'' or ''Beef Stew'' are ''high'' pressure functions and time can be added if needed. The pressure cooker did not hold pressure. sealing ring positioned properly, the lid locked, release valve in the closed position but after 20 minutes the LED display was still on pressuring, and steam was coming out the side of the lid. defect?

The lid on my Starfrit electric pressure cooker will not close. I start at the open position and it will only turn half way towards the close position. How do I fix this?

I used mine for the first time today to cook rice. Towards the end instead of releasing steam from only the top, it started releasing steam from the sides and front as well. Is this normal? And safe? My mom panicked and unplugged it.

Hello, Please check if the silicone ring is well inserted into the lid and try again. It's normal to see a bit of steam when the pressure builds up, there are several safety mechanisms, no worries using this product. Have a nice day!

Set valve, veggies, meat, water, beef stew setting. Light came on. Checked, no lights. Restarted nothing. Outlet, fine. Plugged into other outlet no light. Just stopped working. Cleaned valve, not getting any power. How to fix this?

Typically, when it does not start, either the seal is not placed properly inside the lid or the pressure valve is not placed adequately (in the center).
