Maintenance

Before using your new cookware, wash thoroughly in hot soapy water using a soft cloth or sponge.

Dry completely.

For better non-stick performance, it is recommended to add a teaspoon of cooking oil prior to each use.
Never heat an empty cooking utensil. Be sure there is oil, butter, liquid or food before placing the

cookware on the range or burner.

Always use low to medium heat setting. This cookware should NEVER be used on a maximum heat setting

either for pre-heating or cooking as excessive surface temperatures can cause permanent damage to the non-stick surface.

Never cut anything in the cookware or use utensils with sharp edges as to avoid piercing the non-stick surface.
Never use metal scouring pads to clean the non-stick surface.
Never put cold water into a hot cooking utensil. Let cookware cool down on its own or place it in lukewarm

soapy water.

If using a glass ceramic cooktop, lift the pan rather than sliding it across the glass plate.
This cookware is oven safe up to 450 °F / 230 °C
Higher cooking temperatures or longer cooking time can cause the handle to get hot.

Always use oven mitts.

Dishwasher safe. Take note that the shine of the coating may become dull and discolored due to the action of

certain detergents. Our warranty does not cover this type of wear, as the performance of the cookware is not affected.

Some foods may stain the surface but will not affect the non-stick performance. Our warranty does not cover this

Warranty

Gourmet by Starfrit guarantees this cooking utensil's non-stick surface for 3 years

from the date of purchase with proof of purchase against any manufacturing defects.

The owner must follow care and use instructions for this warranty to apply.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by incorrect use, professional use or if the utensil

is banged or dropped.

Stain, discoloration or minor scratches on the inside and outside of the utensil contitute

normal use, do not affect performance, and are not covered by this warranty.

I have had my first one for a couple of years now and decided I liked it so much I would buy a second. The interior coating on the other brand frying pans that I have bought over the years didn't last long at all, and I would have to throw them out. I hate creating more landfill, and I am happy to report that the Rock pans are awesome! They last a super long time and make cooking and cleanup easier. The depth of my frying pan makes cooking chili a breeze. The pan goes in the oven AND the dishwasher! The lid is vented and clear glass so you don't have to lift the lid to see how your dish is progressing. Love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Beachcomber from Works like a charm I love the size of this; nice and deep but not so wide that it overlaps the perimeter of the burner. The inaugural dish was braised beef short ribs, and sure enough they didn't stick in the browning process, but nor was there any nice brown residue to enhance the flavour of the sauce. Guess that's the only downside. I also hadn't realized until I read the instructions that it's also oven safe to a high temperature, so no transferring things to another pot! Happy with my purchase.

Nothing burns, I use very little fat/oil to cook in it and I literally use it twice a day if not more often for every kind of saute/frying to scrambled eggs/cornbread. I have recommended The Rock products to many friends and family and bought The Rock pans for my daughter in England. The Rock rocks!!!
