ENTRETIEN ET USAGE
- Avant d'utiliser votre nouvel ustensile de cuisson, lavez-le soigneusement à l'eau chaude savonneuse à l'aide d'un
- Pour accroître la performance du revêtement antiadhésif, il est recommandé d?ajouter une cuillerée à thé d'huile
- Ne chauffez jamais un ustensile vide. Veillez à ce qu'il y ait toujours un corps gras, du liquide ou des aliments
- Toujours utiliser un feu doux à moyen. Cet ustensile de cuisson ne devrait JAMAIS être utilisé sur un feu à intensité
- Afin de ne pas percer le revêtement antiadhésif, il ne faut jamais couper quoi que ce soit dans l'ustensile de cuisson
- Toujours ajouter le sel à l'eau lorsque cette dernière a commencé à bouillir. Lorsque les grains de sel se déposent au
- Il n'est pas recommandé d'utiliser un tampon à récurer métallique pour nettoyer la surface antiadhésive.
- Ne jamais verser d'eau froide dans votre ustensile de cuisson chaud. Laissez toujours refroidir à vide ou dans une eau
- Si vous utilisez une plaque de cuisson en céramique, soulevez l'ustensile de cuisson au lieu de le glisser.
- Cet ustensile de cuisson va au four jusqu'à une température de 450 °F / 230 °C. Dans le cas d'une cuisson prolongée ou
- Va au lave-vaisselle. Si placé au lave-vaisselle, la brillance du revêtement extérieur pourrait ternir et se décolorer
- La décoloration bleutée ou "arc-en-ciel" est fréquente dans le cas d'ustensiles de cuisson en acier inoxydable.

Great performance until base split from sides
I got one of these about 2 years ago. It was a great pan until the base split from the sides. It was replaced under warranty. Less than a year later the replacement also split around the base. This time the sides didn't come completely free of the base. The replacement also had an issue where the lining started to flake off, but not until after the splitting. We used it exclusively on a halogen cook top. Starfrit offers a different 12" fry pan design that I've since purchased, that doesn't appear as likely to suffer from the same problems.
The warranty process was not onerous, and customer service was great.

Superior non stick surface
I have had this set for a year now and can say it is the best set I have owned in 26 years. As long as you follow the start up instructions (read the pamphlet that comes with the set) you will enjoy this set for a long time. I bought this stainless steel set because the store I purchased it from only had stainless steel. I would recommend to others to buy the black set as it is easier care unless you don't mind the extra work of stainless steel. I have cooked a variety of foods in this set and nothing has stuck to it that has not been easily removed. All of the sets pieces have been great for even distribution of heat as well. I recommended this set to family and they also purchased but in the black and they also love using them.

Awesome and great to use and clean up is so easy.
I have been using the Starfrit Rock frying pan and it's the best I've ever had to cook and fry with. It distributes heat evenly, food doesn't stick while cooking/frying, and it's easy to clean. You can even put it in the oven, up to 350 degrees. It's nice to have the see through tempered glass lid with the steam release vent. Clean up is a breeze with the non-stick surface. You can even put the pan in the dishwasher. I would recommend The Starfrit Rock frying pan. I have cooked/fried a lot of foods and nothing has stuck to it. I am really impressed with this cookware.

non stick sides and bottom
I received the pan a few weeks ago , and started using it right away , I was making some vegan cheese,which needed to be cooked on the stove .. I use the Rock pan it was awesome, no sticking or burning The Rock the only pan i will ever need to use again ... I find the pan is well balanced . I have a set of KItchen Aid pans and they are the worst balanced pots that i have ever had and if i can win the set of starfrit pans i will chuck the kitchen aid in the garbage.....

Coating doesn't last

Poor Coating adherance
Purchased in December and used regularly at medium heat, hand washed, never placed in dishwasher, and after 3 months the rock coating has started coming off in the corner between the side and bottom of the pan. When you rub with a nail you can continue to pull coating off. Absolutely unacceptable for a pan of this price range!
I would return it to the store but they require proof of purchase. Who keeps sales receipts for kitchen utensils? The Warranty is worthless.

Toujours lavé à la main,mais voilà l'antiadhésif à l'intérieur se dégrade rapidement.
J'aurais dû lire la garantie avant de jeter la facture.

I purchased the 10 pc stainless steel set. It says that you cannot use on max temperature on the stovetop. How long then does it take for water to boil? What happens if you use it on maximum - I'm worried that someone may forget.

I love my Rock pans and have bought 3 of them. I use the 8 inch fry pan the most.But it is not as non stick as it was. I have had for a couple of years and handle like fine china. Hand wash and non abrasive cloth. Is it normal for this to happen.

Is this product dishwasher safe?
Hello,
Yes it's dishwasher safe. Take note that the shine of the coating may become dull and discolored due to the action of certain detergents. Our warranty does not cover this type of wear, as the performance of the cookware is not affected. Bluish or rainbow discoloration is common on stainless steel cookware. This is easily removed by using a proprietary, non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner, which will help to retain the original brightness and assist with the removal of stubborn marks.

Why do you only say that oil is recommended on the inside of the packaging. I was looking for a non-stick pan; everything becomes non-stick when you oil it.

Both the 24cm and 28cm stainless steel Rock fry pans (0346090030000 and 034610003000) say they have glass lids with vent hole in their description. I ordered these specifically because they had lids. They arrived without lids. WHY??
